After a few more attempts to get Mr. Mochi interested in chewing on the ETB, it looks as though the ball as it's marketed doesn't quite tickle his chewing fancy. However, once I took the treats out, he did enjoy a good chew AND we had some great games of fetch with the empty ball (the squishy rubber exterior makes for unpredictable bouncability and the mini-size is just right for his little jaws).
I'll be making more attempts in the future to get him intersted in the whole schabang, as well as trying to find some appropriately crumbly treats to put in the center for fetch.
For now, we rate the ETB as three barks out of five.
